Get Started with PicBucket

1. What is PicBucket?

PicBucket is your personal wireless backup app. It securely saves your precious smartphone photos directly to your Computer (Mac/Windows) over the same Wi-Fi network. No need for expensive paid cloud storage or messy cables!

2. Download and Install

To get started, please do the following:

  • Install the PicBucket mobile app on your smartphone.
  • Install the Windows/Mac app on your computer where you want to store your photos.

Search for the app on the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), or scan the QR code below to download.

3. Connection Guide

Once the apps are installed on both devices, open the mobile app and follow the on-screen instructions:

  • Grant Permissions: Allow the necessary permissions (Photos, Location, and Local Network Access) as prompted.
  • Set Destination Folder: Please ensure you set a destination folder in the Windows/Mac app settings where photos will be saved.
  • Check Wi-Fi: Ensure both your smartphone and your Computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

4. Start Saving

Just tap the blue [Start Saving] button on the mobile app's main screen. Your new photos will immediately begin backing up safely to your designated computer folder!
